The National Paralympic Committees of Iran and Russia have signed a strategic agreement to strengthen bilateral cooperation and advance Paralympic sport development.
Iran NPC, Tehran- The National Paralympic Committees of Iran and Russia have signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening ties and expanding collaboration across key areas of Paralympic sport development.
The agreement was finalised during Iran NPC President Dr. Ghafour Karegari’s visit to Russia for the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Russian Paralympic Committee, where he met with RPC President Pavel Rozhkov.
The two leaders discussed a wide range of initiatives designed to enhance Paralympic sport in both nations, with a focus on long-term cooperation and knowledge exchange.
Key areas of collaboration include joint training camps, exchange programmes for coaches, technical officials and educators, scientific and academic cooperation, and friendly competitions between national teams.
The partnership also outlines plans for cooperation in sports science, medicine and sports management, as well as joint research projects, development of women’s sport and collaboration in the production and supply of sports equipment.
The agreement marks another step in Iran NPC’s international engagement efforts to strengthen Paralympic sport through global partnerships and shared expertise.
