Tehran, Iran –
The Iran NPC Athletes’ Commission focused on the role of the National
Paralympic Academy in supporting national teams during its third meeting, held
today at the NPC headquarters.
The session was
attended by athlete representatives Sareh Javanmardi, Sadegh Bigdeli, Hajer
Safarzadeh, Seyed Meysam Banitaba, Hamed Haghshenas, Hashemiyeh Motaghian,
Alireza Mokhtari, and Zeinab Maleki, along with Sobhanparast (NPC
representative) and Dr. Saadatyar (representative of the National Paralympic
Academy).
At the start of
the meeting, Sobhanparast reported on actions taken and previous resolutions
concerning the Academy’s services to national teams preparing for the Dubai
2025 Asian Youth Para Games and the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games. Dr.
Saadat-Yar then outlined the Academy’s structure and operations, highlighting
how its activities are aligned with Games guidelines and policies.
In the second
part of the meeting, Commission members shared their perspectives based on
visits to national training camps and discussed the current status of team
preparations for the upcoming Games. The discussions were summarized by Sadegh
Bigdeli, Chair of the Athletes’ Commission.
The Commission
concluded by agreeing to organize joint consultation sessions with officials,
experts, and athlete representatives to further strengthen athlete involvement
and advance the future of Paralympic sports in Iran.
