The coordination meeting for preparing
the delegation in the Hangzhou Asian Para Games was held with presence of Iran’s
National federations.
The meeting of
candidate federations to be sent to the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou was held
with the presence of NPC President Dr. Ghafoor Karegari, other NPC officials
and the representatives of national para sports federations accompanied by the national
head coaches of para powerlifting, para shooting, para-athletics, para canoe,
para cycling, Blind chess and blind athletics teams.
During these sessions,
the process of athletes and teams’ preparation, technical aspects of the exercises
and the chance of medal winning of different para sports and were discussed.
The meeting coincided with the 9-month
countdown to the 4th Asian Para Games, which will take place from October 22-28,
2023 with 22 sports, 61 disciplines and 564 games. About 3,800 athletes from 44
countries and regions will take part in the event.
