A landmark day for Sumeyeh Rahimi as she secured the first international gold medal of her career in Ahmedabad.
Iran NPC, Tehran - Somayeh Rahimi claimed the first-ever international gold medal of her career with a 6-2 victory over China’s representative in the women’s individual Recurve final at the Ahmedabad 2026 Hyundai World Archery Para Series in India.
The win saw Rahimi crowned champion and marked a landmark moment in her international career.
Rahimi also finished fourth in the Mixed Recurve event alongside fellow Iranian archer Gholamreza Rahimi, after the pair lost 5-1 to Indonesia.
She added a bronze medal in the women’s Recurve team event with fellow Iranian archer Mohaddeseh Babahabib, yesterday (8 September).
