The fifth meeting of the NPC Athletes’ Commission was held on Wednesday as members discussed preparations for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games.
Iran NPC, Tehran – Members of the Athletes’ Commission reviewed the implementation of previous decisions and discussed athlete-related matters ahead of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games.
During the meeting, NPC International Relations Department Director Solgi presented updates from the Organising Committee of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games, including information on accommodation arrangements and operational conditions for the Games.
In the final session, Dr. Jafari, Director of the Nutrition and Supplements Department at the National Paralympic Academy, reported on the ongoing assessment programme for Iran’s national teams preparing for the Asian Para Games, as well as nutritional and supplement support for athletes.
Athletes’ representatives also raised concerns and shared recommendations regarding nutrition programmes and supplement planning.
Commission members Sadegh Bigdeli, Alireza Mokhtari, Hajar Safarzadeh, Hashemiyeh Motaghian, Zeinab Maleki, Ahmadreza Shah Hosseini, Hamed Haghshenas and Seyed Meysam Bani Taba attended the meeting in person.
Iranian cleric Hojjatoleslam Houshyar, Director of the Social Affairs Department, Solgi, Director of International Relations, Dr. Jafari from the National Paralympic Academy, and Monir Sobhan-Parast, NPC representative in the Athletes’ Commission, were also present.
