Team Iran has arrived in Dubai to compete in the 5th Asian Youth Para Games, aiming for strong performances as young Para athletes from across Asia gather for the continent’s premier youth Para sport event.
Iran NPC, Tehran- The Islamic Republic of Iran’s delegation, competing under the official name “Team Iran; Ambassadors of the Victory” and carrying the motto “Faith, Perseverance, Dominance,” arrived in Dubai on Saturday, 7 December 2025.
The 5th Asian Youth Para Games are being hosted by the United Arab Emirates and bring together more than 1,350 Para athletes from across Asia. Team Iran is represented by a 194-member athlete squad, including 120 boys and 74 girls, competing in 11 Para sports: Para Archery, Para Shooting, Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Boccia, Goalball, Para Powerlifting, Para Swimming, Para Table Tennis, Para Taekwondo, and 3x3 Wheelchair Basketball. With the exception of Para Swimming, Iranian female athletes will be represented across all other sports, highlighting the continued growth and inclusivity of the nation’s youth Para program.
The official training sessions and classification for national teams are scheduled from 7 to 9 December. Competitive events will begin on the morning of 10 December, followed by the Opening Ceremony later that evening. The Games will conclude on 13 December 2025.
