Iran NPC, Tehran- Following a thorough internal
review, the Asian Paralympic Committee (AsPC) has officially announced the
inclusion of Para Armwrestling to the sport programme of Dubai 2025 Asian Youth
Para Games.
This follows a series of recent
achievements for the sport, including its inclusion in the 2023 World Combat
Games in Riyadh and the 2024 Africa Games. The World Armwrestling Federation,
the governing body of the sport, is recognised by the International Paralympic
Committee as an International Federation. This addition follows a series of

Combat Games in Riyadh and the 2024 Africa Games.
The comprehensive sports program for
the event includes Para Archery, Para Armwrestling, Para Athletics, Para
Badminton, Boccia, Goalball, Para Powerlifting, Para Swimming, Para Taekwondo, Para
Table Tennis, Wheelchair Basketball.
The Dubai 2025 will mark the fifth edition
of Asian Youth Para Games and are anticipated to witness the participation of
approximately 1,000 athletes across 11 sports.
Iran topped the medal table of the
4th Asian Youth Para Games, with 122 medals including 44 gold- held in Manama,
Bahrain, from 2 to 6 December 2021.
