Iran’s Aylar Jami secured a place at Paris 2024, today.
Iran NPC, Tehran: In the women's -52kg category, Iran’s Para Taekwondoin Aylar Jami defeated
her Indian rival 23-0 at the Asian Paralympic Qualification Tournament and claimed
a gold medal to secure a spot for Paris 2024.
While the other representative of
Iran Leila Mirzaei finished as runner-up in the final of the women's -57kg.
Iranian Para Taekwondoins have
already secured five quota places for Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
Asian Paralympic Qualification
Tournament takes place in Tai'an China on March 7, 2024. The event determined one
more Para Taekwondo athletes in each weight class who secured a place at Paris
2024.
