The third wheelchair basketball training camp in started in Tehran on Friday.
Iran NPC, Tehran: National men’s squad are preparing for the 2024 IWBF
wheelchair Basketball Asia Oceania Championships.
The third round of national men’s
Wheelchair Basketball training camp started in Tehran on Friday, 29 December
2023, under the lead of head coach Mohammadreza Dastyar, accompanied by coach
Behrouz Soltani, assistant coach Adel Torfi and strength and conditioning coach
Yaser Gilaki.
The camp has been staged by Iran
Sports Federation for the Enabled until 3 January 2024.
The players at the camp are as
follows:
Hakim Mansouri, Vahid Sadatpour, Omid
Hadi Azhar, Aboulfazl Jalaei, Hasan Abdi, Amirreza Ahmadi, Mohammad
Mohammadnejad, Abdoljalil Gharanjik, Mohammad Hasan Sayari, Morteza Abedi,
Mahdi Abbasi, Iman Bekzadeh and Mohsen Tolouei.
Iran men's team has recently awarded
the title of the “2023 Best Asian Team Performance” by the Asian Paralympic
Committee (AsPC) in November.
The IWBF Asia Oceania Championships
will be held in Bangkok, Thailand between 12 to 20 January 2024 and the winners
of both the men’s and women’s competition will qualify directly for the Paris
2024 Paralympic Games.
