The second round of national wheelchair basketball training camp started in Tehran on Monday.


Iran NPC, Tehran: The second round of national men’s Wheelchair Basketball training camp started in Tehran on Monday, 18 December 2023, under the lead of head coach Mohammadreza Dastyar, accompanied by coach Behrouz Soltani, assistant coach Adel Torfi and s&c coach Yaser Gilaki.
The camp has been staged by Iran Sports Federation for the Enabled from Saturday (18 Dec) in Tehran. It aims at the athletes’ preparation for the 2024 Asia Oceania Championships in Bangkok.
The squad will follow the national trainings until December 25th.
The players at the camp are as follows:

Hakim Mansouri, Saeid Heidari, Milad Nasiri, Omid Hadi Azhar, Aboulfazl Jalaei, Amir Hossein Eslamian, Mansour Jamshidian, Hasan Asadiani, Milad Tajfar, Hasan Abdi, Faleh Ayashi, Ali Shokouhi, Reza Eivazi, Mohammad Mohammadnejad, Saman Chalak.


Iran men's team has recently awarded the title of the “2023 Best Asian Team Performance” by the Asian Paralympic Committee (AsPC) in November.
The IWBF Asia Oceania Championships will be held in Bangkok, Thailand between 12 to 20 January 2024 and the winners of both the men’s and women’s competition will qualify directly for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
