Sara Javanmardi, the proud national team member of our country's para-shooting team, was born on December 7, 1984 in the city of Shiraz.
In her youth, she first turned to para-table tennis and then sitting volleyball, but eventually, after a while, she started shooting with a pistol and was invited to the national team's camps after winning the national championship.
By winning numerous honors for our country in the field of para-shooting, Javanmardi was able to earn the title of "Pistol Queen" by the International Paralympic Committee and is currently considered one of our country's leading Paralympians worldwide.
In her first appearance at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, she won a bronze medal. The next round of the Paralympic Games was accompanied by two valuable gold medals for Javanmardi, making the Rio 2016 Games memorable for her.
His hat-trick of golds came at the Tokyo 2020 Games, where he also won his third Paralympic gold medal.
Javanmardi has also participated in four Paralympic Games. He won a silver medal at the 2010 Guangzhou Paralympic Games, two gold medals at the 2014 Incheon Paralympic Games, and two gold medals at the 2018 Jakarta Paralympic Games.
He trained for a very short time after the birth of his son and was immediately sent to the 2022 Hangzhou Paralympic Games. In these games, Javanmardi won a silver medal and stood on the runner-up podium with his three-month-old son, Avesh, which was repeatedly selected as one of the most beautiful sporting moments of the year by the Asian Paralympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee.
Javanmardi has also won four gold medals at world championships in different eras and has many medals from international and regional competitions.
She arrived at the Paris 2024 Games with valuable experience, winning her fourth consecutive Paralympic gold medal in the women's 10m air pistol. Sara Javanmardi is currently a member of the Athletes' Commission of the Asian Paralympic Committee, the Iranian Paralympic Athletes' Commission, an honorary member of the Board of Directors of the National Paralympic Committee, and the Federation of Veterans and Disabled Sports.
