Iran NPC, Tehran- Team Iran wrapped
up a stellar performance at the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships in New
Delhi, securing third place overall with a total of 15 medals—9 gold, 2 silver,
and 4 bronze—after a week of exceptional competition among the world’s best para
athletes.
The Iranian delegation delivered one
of its strongest performances in recent years at the 2025 World Para Athletics
Championships, hosted in New Delhi, India. Competing with 20 athletes across
men’s and women’s events, Team Iran demonstrated remarkable consistency and
determination, ending the event third in the overall medal table.
The Championships brought together
over 1,200 athletes from 104 countries in 186 medal events (101 men’s, 84
women’s, and one mixed). India became the fourth Asian nation to host this
global competition, following Qatar (2015), the UAE (2019), and Japan (2024).
