Tsukada Tamaki, Japan’s Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with Ghafour Karegari, President of the National Paralympic Committee of Iran, at the NPC headquarters today to discuss Iran’s participation in the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games.
Iran NPC, Tehran – Japan’s Ambassador to Iran has praised the country’s development in sport and expressed the Embassy’s readiness to support Iran’s participation at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games.
Tsukada Tamaki, Japan’s Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with Ghafour Karegari, President of the National Paralympic Committee of Iran, at the NPC headquarters to discuss Iran’s participation in the fifth Asian Para Games, which will be held in Aichi-Nagoya later this year.
The meeting was also attended by Hamid Ali Samimi, Secretary General of the National Paralympic Committee of Iran, and Mohammad Pouladgar, Chef de Mission of Iran at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games.
Karegari highlighted the cultural ties shared by Iran and Japan, conveying a message of friendship and goodwill from the Iranian people to Japan, host nation of the fifth Asian Para Games. He also stressed the importance of continued friendship between the two countries and their peoples.
Tamaki, meanwhile, wished Iran’s Para athletes success at the Games and expressed the Embassy’s readiness to cooperate with the Iranian delegation and help facilitate its participation in the event.
The Japanese ambassador said Iran ranks among the top four Asian countries in sport and has made significant progress in both technology and sport in recent years.
The visit concluded with Tamaki touring the National Paralympic Museum, where he viewed memorabilia collected from different editions of the Paralympic and Asian Para Games and learned more about Iran’s sporting figures and achievements in the Paralympic movement.
