Iran’s para taekwondo team finished with 10 medals — three gold, two silver and five bronze — at the 11th Asian Para Taekwondo Championships in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, held on 25 May 2026.
Iran NPC, Tehran - Iran’s para taekwondo team claimed a total of 10 medals — three gold, two silver and five bronze — at the 2026 Asian Para Taekwondo Championships in Mongolia, delivering a strong overall performance across multiple weight categories.
Gold medals were won by Mohammad Taha Hassanpour (-58kg), Amir Mohammad Haghighatshenas (-70kg) and Alireza Bakht (-80kg).
Saeid Sadeghianpour (-63kg) and Zahra Rahimi (-57kg) secured silver medals.
Bronze medals went to Mahdi Pourrahnama (-80kg), Hamed Haghshenas (+80kg), Aylar Jami (-47kg), Parimah Torani (-65kg) and Romina Chamsouraki (+65kg).
Iran’s athletes delivered a strong showing across both men’s and women’s categories, securing podium finishes in multiple weight classes.
