Iranian women’s Para-Powerlifters opened their national trainings today (April 13th), ahead of Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
Iran NPC, Tehran- The tenth national preparation Para-powerlifting camp for women is being held from 13 to 24 April in Sari, Mazandaran province.
Organised by IRI sports federation for the Enabled in partnership with the Iran National Paralympic Committee, the camp is designed to prepare the athletes for the fifth Asian Para Games.
Team roster
Mahdieh Mohammadian, Nikou Rouzbahani, Zeinab Taheri, Samaneh Hoda Agh-Ghaleh, Atiyeh Sadat Hosseini, Zahra Aghaei.
Technical Staff
The athletes will train under head coach Massoumeh Babaei, assisted by coach Seyedeh Maryam Hosseini.
Aisa Arshadi accompanies the team as sports psychologist.
About Aichi-Nagoya 2026
The 5th Asian Para Games will be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from October 18–24, 2026, featuring approximately 3,600–4,000 athletes from 45 nations competing in 18 para sports.
