Iran NPC, Tehran - Atiyeh Sadat Hosseini made history on the second day of the World Junior Para Powerlifting Championships after claiming two gold medals in the women’s up to 61kg category.
Hosseini successfully lifted 85kg and 90kg in her first two attempts, narrowly missing 94kg on her third lift. Her strong performance secured her the world title and marked a historic moment as she became the first Iranian woman ever to win a gold medal in Para powerlifting.
With a total of 175kg from her best lifts, Hosseini also earned the gold medal in the combined total event — achieving a remarkable double gold for Iran.
