Iran NPC, Tehran –With less than 100 days to go until the start of the Riyadh
2025 Islamic Solidarity Games, the official mascot of the event — “Finjaal”
— has been unveiled.
The character of Finjaal is inspired
by the traditional Arabic coffee cup, known as “dallah,” which holds
deep cultural and historical significance in Saudi Arabia. The mascot
symbolizes the host nation’s heritage and generosity.
Two official images of Finjaal have
been released. In one, the mascot wears a green sports uniform adorned with the
Games’ official logo, with the word “RIYADH” prominently displayed in the
background. In the second image, Finjaal is dressed in traditional Saudi
attire: a white thobe and a red-and-white shemagh, reflecting the customary
clothing of Saudi men.
The Riyadh 2025 Islamic Solidarity
Games will take place from November 6 to 20, 2025, in the capital city of Saudi
Arabia. The event will bring together 3,500 athletes from 57 Islamic countries
competing in 21 sports disciplines.
Iran’s Para athletes are set to
compete in Para Athletics and Para Powerlifting — the two para sports featured
in the Games.
