Iran NPC, Tehran- Team Iran claimed its tenth consecutive Asian title, securing a total of 12 medals—three gold, three silver, and six bronze—at the 2025 Asian Para Taekwondo Championships.
The event took place today, Friday, August 1, in Kuching, Malaysia, with the participation of 107 athletes from 18 countries.
Continuing their legacy of excellence, the Iranian team, which has topped the standings in every previous edition, once again defended their title in dominant fashion.

Gold: Alireza Bakht, Hamed Haghnashnas, Marziyeh Nasrollahi
Silver: Saeed Sadeghianpour, Maryam Abdollahpour, Amir Mohammad Haghighatshenas
Bronze: Aylar Jami, Leila Mirzaei, Mohammad Taha Hassanpour, Roza Ebrahimi, Leila Rahimi, Mehdi Pourrahnama
In the men’s division, Iran extended its perfect championship record, once again standing atop the podium. Meanwhile, the Iranian women’s team delivered a strong performance to finish as runners-up.

The men’s national team was led by head coach Payam KhanlarKhani, with Mehdi Ahmadi serving as assistant coach.
The women’s team was headed by Atefeh Keshavarz, with Leila Khazaei as assistant coach. The delegation was supervised by Jamshid Sohrabi, the head of Iran’s Para Taekwondo Association.
