Iran's Women to Resume Training for AOZ Sitting Volleyball Champs

Iran's Women Sitting Volleyball

Iran Women’s Sitting Volleyball team will commence a new round of training in preparation for two Asian upcoming events.

 

Iran NPC, Tehran:

The third training and selection camp for Iran’s women’s national sitting volleyball team will be held from May 5 to 12, 2025, in the holy city of Mashhad.
This camp is organized in collaboration with the I.R.I Sports Federation for the Enabled and the National Paralympic Committee of Iran, aiming to prepare the women's national sitting volleyball team for the 2025 Asia-Oceania Zone (AOZ) Champs and the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya.

The players invited to the camp include:

Masoumeh Zarei, Fatemeh Jahani, Zahra Lotfi, Zahra Salari, Neda Panjehbashi, Zeinab Maleki, Hadis Rezaei, Batoul Khalilzadeh, Fatemeh Abbasi, Roghayeh Shamseddin, Mehri Fallahi, Sepideh Jamaldoust, Zahra Nejati, Farzaneh Heidari, Sakineh Ghorayshi, Maryam Kalhor, and Maryam Nazari.
Training sessions will be led by national coaches Maryam Iranmanesh and Batoul Mehranpour, with Hadi Rezaei serving as the team's technical advisor.

Upcoming Competition:

The 2025 ParaVolley Asia-Oceania Sitting Volleyball Championships are scheduled to take place from June 9 to June 19, 2025, in Hangzhou, China. This tournament serves as a key qualifier for the 2026 Asian Para Games in Nagoya, Japan.
