Powerlifters Gear Up

Iran Para Powerlifting has announced the roster of twenty Para athletes for the first selection camp, set to be launched on Friday in Tehran, as the athletes begin their journey toward the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games (APG).

Iran NPC, Tehran:

The first preparatory and selection camp for Iran men’s national team will run from April 23 to May 8 at the Siamand Rahman dedicated powerlifting hall in Tehran, where 20 top para powerlifters have been invited to showcase their strength and compete for a place on the national squad.

The Camp Roster:

Mohsen Bakhtiar, Saman Razi, Yousef Yousefi, Amir Jafari, Mahdi Sayyadi, Rouhollah Rostami, Hamed Solhipour, Hassan Pashapour, Ali Seifi, Naser Mohammadi, Ali Akbar Gharibshahi, Ahmad Aminzadeh, Alireza Izadi, Seyed Najaf Tabatabaei, Ahmad Doostdar, Mobin Mohammadi, Ahmad Karami, Ehsan Soori, Saeid Eskandarzadeh, and Ali Asghar Abareghi.

The national team will be led by head coach Hossein Tavakoli, with national coaches Ali Mahmoudi and Tarahom Esmaeilpour assisting throughout the camp.

Featuring a total of 18 sports, the fifth edition of the Asian Para Games will take place in the City of Nagoya the capital of Aichi Prefecture in Japan, from 18 to 24 October, 2026.
