Iran NPC, Tehran: The
Executive Board of the Asian Paralympic Committee has appointed Ghafoor
Karegary as the AsPC’s Special Advisor which provides advice and consultation
to the Board on matters relating to Paralympic movement.
Asian Paralympic Committee President
Majid Rashed has offered congratulations following the election of Dr. Ghafoor
Karegary and send an appointment letter to Iran NPC President, stating, “on the
behalf of the APC executive Board and Management, I am sending my sincerest
regards to you, I hope you and your family are doing well and in good health.
I am delighted to inform you that
during the AsPC 33rd EB Meeting held on 21-22 March 2024 in Beijing,
Peoples’ Republic of China, the Executive Board Members have decided to appoint
you as APC Special Advisor.
This appointment comes with you being
invited to some APC Official events, online meetings, communication exchanges,
and any other related matters that require your invaluable guidance and advice
to APC Board and Management.
The APC acknowledges your leadership
and huge contribution to the development of Paralympic Movement in I. R. Iran
and the Asian Region. We are very honored to have your expertise in APC as we
make our Region stronger for our Para Athletes and people with disability in
Asia.”
The 33rd meeting, which was opened by
APC President Majid Rashed, also discussed on the new Strategic Plan 2024-2027
as well as updates from various Standing Committees and Sub-regional
representatives.
