Iran’s men came second place at the 2024 IWBF Wheelchair Basketball AOZ Championships, today.
Iran NPC, Tehran: Despite a showcase of their determination, Iran's men lost to Team Australia 51-53 in the final match of IWBF Asia Oceania Zone Championships at Thailand Youth Center, today, on
January 20, 2024.
Wining title, Australians earned the only men event's slot of Paris 2024. South Korea also took home a bronze.
Team Melli concluded its journey at the AOZ champs by five triumphs over
South Korean, Thailand, China, Afghanistan and Japan (two times) and two lost to
Australia.
The IWBF Asia Oceania Zone Championships was held in Bangkok,
Thailand, from January 12 to 20, 2024. The men's and women's champion teams secured the tickets to
the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
