Three Iranian Paracanoeists progressed to the semi-final of the 2023 World Championships.
Iran NPC, Tehran: Iranian Paracanoeists Shahla Behrouzirad, Saeid Hosseinpour and Eslam Jahedi advance to the 2023 World Championships in Duisburg, Germany.
Iran's Shahla Behrouzirad raced in women’s KL3 event, finishing sixth in a time of 50.746 to progress to the 2023 ICF Worlds semi-final, which takes place on Saturday 26 August at 16:50.
The 38-year-old competed the rivals from India, Hungary, Germany, Great Britain, Uzbekistan, Australia, Brazil and Spain in the first heat of 2023 ICF Paracanoe World Championships this morning (24 Aug).
While, the other Iran's Paracanoeist Saeid Hosseinpour, finishing sixth in a time of 53.403, had earlier reached the Men’s KL1 semi-final.
Eslam Jahedi had also stopped the clock in 50.407 and finished fourth in Men’s VL3 to go through the semi-final.
Team Iran are being conducted by Brazilian head coach Pedro Sena and national coach Mohsen Milad at the event, from August 23 to 26, 2023.
