Day 5- Iranian T12 long jumper stood second place of the World Championships, in the morning session of Paris’23.

 

Iran NPC, Tehran- In the morning session of ongoing 2023 Para Athletics World Championships in Paris, Amir Khosravani leaped 7.26m to peak up a silver medal for the country, in Men's Long Jump T12 at the Charlety Stadium on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old Tokyo title holder Khosravani missed out on gold and finished just behind his rival, with a personal best in 12.24.

 Uzbekistan’s long jumper Doniyor Saliev claimed world title and set a record in 7.47m.

Azerbaijan’s Said Najafzade took a bronze in a season’s best 7.11 leap.

 While competing on the day five, Iran’s other representative Elham Salehi also finished fourth with her season’s best in 7.23, among the seven-athlete field in Women's Shot Put F54.

 Paris’23 Para Athletics World Championships is running from 8 to 17 July to serve as the qualifier for next year’s Paralympic Games.
