Dr. Ghafoor Karegari paid a visit to the para taekwondo national training camp, in Tehran.
NPC IRAN- From March 19 to April 20, eighteen
athletes and four coaches from different cities gathered in Tehran to take part
at the para taekwondo national training camp.
Attending a meeting at the national taekwondo
federation, the President of Iran National Paralympic Committee visited the camp
on April 18th.
Speaking among the athletes, Dr. Ghafoor Karegari said that he was
overwhelmed to see the determination of participants in spite of physical
shortcomings they are chasing their dreams.
He stated that the NPC shall provide
all possible help to them for improving their skills and being prepared for the
upcoming events.
The training camp is supported by the
NPC Programme, which aims to build capacity within National Federations across
the country and to progress preparation process of athletes for Hangzhou Asian
Para Games.
