Tokyo 2020: Day 8 review

On September 1st  Saeid Afrooz made history and added another gold to the total medal count of the Iranian delegation.
Iran’s pitcher Saeid Afrooz debuted his first Paralympic appearance in the men’s javelin throw F34 at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium on day 8. He outperformed other contestants on the first throw with 39.48 m. Saeid Afrooz shattered the world record with 40.05 m and took home the gold medal. With this medal, he added the 8th gold to the total medal count of Team Iran.
