Tokyo 2020: Day 6 wrap-up

Team Iran debuted day 6 with jumper Amir Khosravani bringing fourth gold medal for the delegation in the long jump. Khosravani fouled his first jump but did 7.21 m on the second jump and clinched fourth gold.

At the Tokyo International Forum, Saman Razi took home his first Paralympic medal by lifting 231 kg in the men’s -107 kg. In the super heavy weight clash, Mansour Pourmirzaei finished second with a 241 kg lift. During the medal ceremony, Pourmirzaei unveiled the late Siamand Rahman’s picture on his shirt to pay tribute to his everlasting legacy in Para powerlifting.

Day 6 was finally wrapped up with Mahdi Olad bringing the fifth gold medal for Team Iran in the shot put F11 with a 14.43 m throw.
