In the ۲۴th Asian Taekwondo Championships in Beirut, Iranian Para Taekwondo athletes piled up a total medal count of ۷ including ۴ gold, ۱ silver and ۲ bronze medals and claimed the title for the sixth time in Asia. Payam Khanlari, Iran’s head coach, won the “Coach of the Tournament” title, and Asghar Azizi was announced as the most technical player of the event.
Kazakhstan with ۳ gold, and Turkey with ۲ gold respectively stood second and third in the final medal tally.
This event was hosted by the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation at the Nouhad Naufal Indoor Stadium from June ۱۶th – ۱۸th, ۲۰۲۱, with ۸۴ athletes from ۲۰ countries
