Team Iran's contingent will depart for the third Asian Youth Para Games (AYPG) in Dubai on Friday, looking to build further on what has been a fairly positive year for para sports.
Iran will participate in the competition with 117 athletes.
This edition will feature seven sports: athletics, badminton, boccia, bowling, goalball, powerlifting and table tennis.
AYPG will take part from Dec. 8 to 14.
More than 700 athletes from 30 countries are expected to participate in the competition that is to be held across various venues in Dubai.
The inaugural edition of this competition was held in Tokyo in 2009 and the second one was held in Kuala Lumpur in 2013.
In the first edition, Iran came second with 26 gold medals, 24 silvers and 18 bronzes.
In the second edition, Iran also became runner-up with 27 golds, 13 silvers and 19 bronzes.
