Iranian delegation has been named “Persian Gulf” at the third edition of the Asian Youth Para Games in the United Arab Emirates.
The Games will be held in Abu Dhabi from Dec. 10 to 14.
Boccia player Zahra Valazadeh will carry Iran’s flag during opening ceremony at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Iran will send 35 sportswomen and 95 sportsmen to the competition.
The Asian Youth Para Games is a multi-sport event held every four years after every Asian Games for youth athletes with physical disabilities.
The first Games was held in 2009 in Tokyo, Japan.
Iran finished in second place in the event’s second edition which was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
