Alireza Ghaleh Nasseri and Ali Mohammadyari from Iran claimed the silver and bronze medals in the shot put F56 final respectively on Tuesday.

Alireza Ghaleh Nasseri and Ali Mohammadyari from Iran claimed the silver and bronze medals in the shot put F56 final respectively on Tuesday.

Ghaleh Nasseri seized a silver medal with a throw of 10.49m.

His countryman Mohammadyari threw 10.37m to win the bronze medal.

The gold medal went to Olakhan Musayev with 11.86m.

 

 


Earlier in the day, Iran’s Javid Ehsani Shakib and Javad Dalakeh claimed silver and bronze medals in the shot put F57.

More than 3,000 athletes from 54 countries of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation are competing in 21 sports at the Games.

The Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games started May 8 and will last until May 22 in Azerbaijan’s capital.
