Iran climbed one place in the in the men’s goalball world rankings, as published by the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA).

Iran climbed one place in the in the men’s goalball world rankings, as published by the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA).

Iran replaced Canada in 10th place in the rankings.

The Rio 2016 hosts are now followed by Paralympic champions Lithuania, Turkey, China, USA, Ukraine, Sweden, Czech Republic, Finland and Iran.
The world rankings are expected to change over the next months, when all the regional competitions take place.

The Asia/Pacific Championships will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 19-27 August, whilst the European Championships will take place in Lahti, Finland, between 18-22 September.

From 14-24 October, Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, will stage the African Championships, and Sao Paulo, Brazil, will again host a major Para sport competition when it organises the Americas Championships between 26 November-3 December.
