Payam Khanlarkhani has been appointed as new head coach of Iranian Para-taekwondo team.

Payam Khanlarkhani has been appointed as new head coach of Iranian Para-taekwondo team.

He replaced Hossein Modanloo in the Iran national team.

Para-taekwondo will be included in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Programme for the first time.

Para-taekwondo was also a demonstration sport at the recent Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Mehdi Pourrahnama represented Iran in the event beating Vitali Nazarenko of Russia.

 

 


Khanlarkhani was coach of Iran national taekwondo team in the 2014 and 2016 Asian Taekwondo Championships.

He also inspired Iran’s Shahrdari Varamin to title of the 6th Asian Club Taekwondo Championships in February 2016 in Sharjah, the UAE.
