<div><span> <div dir="ltr">Iran’s Javad Hardani claimed a bronze medal at the men’s javelin T38 of the Paralympic Games on Thursday.<br> <br> The Iranian athlete finished in third place with a throw of 48.46m.<br> <br> South Africa’s Reinhardt Hamman led from the opening round of the event, sealing gold with his final throw of 50.96m – a new African record - to finish more than one meter clear of the field.<br> <br> Colombia’s Luis Lucumi Villegas won the silver medal with 49.19m.<br> <br> Iran has participated at the 2016 Summer Paralympics with 111 athletes in 12 sports.<br> <br> The Iranian delegation finished in 11th place in the previous edition, winning 10 gold medals, seven silvers and seven bronze medals.</div> </span></div>
