Iranian National Paralympic Committee (NPC) President Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa said that they are going to get better results in the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games.
The Iranian delegation is hoping to outdo its performance at London 2012, when it won 10 gold medals, seven silvers and seven bronzes.
“We took part in the previous Paralympics with 79 athletes but Iran will partake in the upcoming event with 95 athletes.
“Countdown to the Paralympics has started and our sportsmen and sportswomen are well-prepared for the event with the participation at their training camps,” he added.
“Iranian athletes are going to win more medals than in London. This is our main target,” Khosravi Vafa concluded.
The Rio 2016 Paralympic Games will be held Sept. 7-18.
