Saman Razi of Iran won a silver medal at IPC Powerlifting World Cup on Thursday.


Saman Razi of Iran won a silver medal at IPC Powerlifting World Cup on Thursday.

In the men’s up to 97kg, the Iranian secured silver with 222kg.

 Egypt’s Paralympic champion Mohamed Eldib claimed gold with 243 and Ukraine’s Anton Kriukov snatched bronze (221kg).

 

 


Earlier in the day, Seyed Hamed Solhipour snatched a gold medal in the men’s up to 88kg.

Iran’s Hamzeh Mohammadi had won a bronze medal in the men’s up to 65kg weight category on the first day of the competition.

On Wednesday, Majid Farzin also took a gold medal at the men’s up to 80kg weight category.

More than 200 athletes from 40 countries compete at the IPC Powerlifting World Cup in Dubai, UAE, from 15-19 February.
