The Iranian sitting volleyball player Ramezan Salehi Hajikolaei has been announced by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) as One to Watch for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

Iran has made it to back-to-back sitting volleyball finals at the Paralympics thanks to the efforts of Hajikolaei, Paralympic.org wrote.

Considered one of the best liberos in the world, Hajikolaei was named Best Receiver at both the Paralympics in London and Best Defender at the Intercontinental Cup in Cairo, Egypt.

In an effort to make it easier for the public and media to understand which athletes to look out for at Rio 2016, the IPC between 4-15 January is announcing Ones to Watch in all 22 sports, revealing athletes in two sports each day.

Iranian para-archer Zahra Nemati, powerlifter Siamand Rahman and shooter Sareh Javanmardi have already been announced as Ones to Watch.
