Para Badminton: Ichinomiya City Municipal Gymnasium
Ichinomiya City Municipal Gymnasium will host the para badminton competition at the Aichi–Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games, bringing elite Asian athletes to one of Japan’s established indoor sports arenas.
Set in Ichinomiya, the venue is scheduled to stage competition from 24–25 October and 27 October–1 November 2026, delivering a packed programme of fast-paced and highly technical matches.
As an existing, fully functional multi-purpose gymnasium, the venue offers proven sports infrastructure suited for high-performance indoor competition, ensuring smooth operations for athletes, officials, media, and spectators.
Located just northwest of Nagoya, Ichinomiya benefits from strong transport links and easy regional access, positioning it as a practical hub for international sporting events during the Games.
Para badminton—one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing Paralympic sports since its debut at Tokyo 2020—will feature intense rallies, tactical depth, and high-energy performances, making it one of the standout competitions of Aichi–Nagoya 2026.
