The Iranian sole swimmer at the 2016 Paralympic Games will partake at the Berlin 2017 World Para Swimming World Series.

The Para-swimmer represented Iran in the 2016 Paralympic Games in the Men's 50m Freestyle - S10 and Men's 100m Breaststroke - SB9.

“I am training for the 2017 World Para Swimming World Series which will be held in Berlin, Germany from July 6-9. I want to do my best in the competition and earn a quota place for the 2018 Asian Para Games in Indonesia,” Izadyar told Paralympic.ir.

“I think the Iranian swimmers should participate in more competitions to gain even more experience. They could know their rivals in the international events,” he added.

The World Series event is normally the biggest event outside of Paralympic Games and major Championships and is therefore a great opportunity to see who is in good form ahead of the 2017 World Para Swimming Championships in Mexico City from 30 September.
