September 21st marks the 49th birthday of Jalil Imeri, Iran’s sitting volleyball game changer.
Born in 1972 in Gonbad Kavous, Jalil jumped into history books by winning 3 gold and 2 silver at the Paralympics. As a standout player in the national sitting volleyball squad, Jalil has also added 2010 Asian Games gold along with two other gold, one silver and one bronze from the international championships to the total medal tally of Team Iran.
